While in Portland, I had the pleasure of meeting two of my blogging pals.
I met up with Kathy of the blog Kluless. She is just as sweet and genuine as I knew she would be. We quickly became fast friends and junking buddies. We started off at a local antique mall and then hit one of Kathy's favorite antique stores that she has blogged about on her blog where we both found some treasures. She was so sweet to bring me presents too wrapped in a beautiful vintage box. It was filled with loveliness inside.
These little pink satin child's shoes were too sweet for words.
Kathy shared some of her most beautiful buttons with me including some gorgeous rhinestone ones. I have an idea to make some jewelry with them. She thought I "needed" the flower pins.
The little bottle is filled with pink glitter.
Another local gal who met us is Laurie from Magpie Ethel. I titled this post blind dates because that is what Laurie calls it when she meets a blog friend for the first time. That just cracks me up.
Laurie and I hit it off right away as well and she was nice enough to let me come over to her studio but I will share those photos for an up coming post. Let me tell you there was A LOT to see over there. She thought it was sort of funny when I told her that there was so much eye candy over there that my teeth hurt - and that was the truth!
Thank you so much ladies for meeting with me. I had a blast with you both. I felt like I have always known you and I guess I have for awhile, through your blogs. I had fun on the blind dates. Next time you come see me in AZ.
