Snow Angels or Snow Men?
Is the snow falling where you live?
Oh the weather outside is frightful.
But the fire is so delightful.
And since we've no place to go.

We recently had a taste of the white stuff. I know some of the country has had a bit more than a a taste.

Santa-lier
Santa's hanging around in my kitchen. I decided to remove the teacups from my funky redo chandy and hang the vintage Santa mugs.
Help yourself to a candy cane.
I was so excited to find this Santa today at the thrift for only a dollar. He brought back memories from childhood. We had one exactly like him growing up. I love his pink glass nose and rosy cheeks.

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The dollies are doning their Santa hats and angel wings.
Bits of the old come out. I can't help but wonder if when these things were brand new, if there was an excitement getting them out of storage and bringing them out amongst the most favorite decorations.
I so enjoy getting these things out. They make me smile.
I find such charm in vintage Christmas items. They remind me of a childhood innocence full of magic and believing in Santa Claus.
This little gal is gathering up her snow balls. Snow is predicted here this weekend. I won't be making snow balls though. I'll be warm and toasty with a fire going in the fireplace. Is it snowing where you live?

Shiny and Brite Tree
I love Shiny Brites. The colors and shapes are like candy to me.
I found this little fence at the thrift. It was originally red and green but I think it looks much better white after a few coats of spray paint. I am not sure if the polka dot fabric is staying. It was another thrift store find. I've got to get busy wrapping some presents to put under the tree.
Most of the ornaments I used this year are balls with a few bell shaped and figural ones.
Thanks for taking a tour of my Christmas tree. I've got a few more decorations to show you if you aren't tired of seeing Christmas decorations.
I wanted to share with you this beautiful belt buckle I won in a giveaway from Cindy of Lilly's Lace. Thank you Cindy! She hand made the buckle from pieces of vintage jewelry and bling. She is quite the talented artist. I absolutely love it. It is shiny and bright, kinda like my tree.

Decking the Mantle
I'm decking the halls, the tree, and of course the mantle.
This piece sort of reminded me of a tree so I tried it out on my mantle. It is an antique candelabra. If I can find some white short candles I may add them in.
This Holy family figure is new to me this year. I love to always include the reason for the season among my Christmas decorating. It is a reminder of love joy and peace as we wait for the coming of His birth.
This little brass angel candle holder is so special to our family. When our children were little we would light the candles and the angels would "spin" with the heat from the lit candles. Tiny little bells would ring as the angels spin around.
May you find JOY in the anticipation.
