Well maybe not three bags, but I found one HUGE garbage bag full of antique doilies and linens.
After finding a couple of small doilies at a garage sale, the lady asked me if I would like to see more and of course I said "yes please".
She brought out one huge bag of antique table cloths and doilies. I asked for a price for the whole bag and she made me a deal I could not refuse. These photos are only a small portion of what I got.
I think some of the handiwork of these items go under-appreciated. Hours and hours of work went into these. Some of these will go into the shop and some will be re-purposed as lampshades or artwork.
I found this vintage sweetie recently at the thrift store.
She was "rescued" from a pile of forgotten stuffed animals and toys. She is a boudoir doll. Her skirt opens to hold pajamas or a nightie. She was probably made in the 1920's. I was excited to find her and the best part was the price of $1.00.
I have been blessed to be the recipient of a couple of giveaways recently. I'd love to share with you what came in the mail recently.
First up I won this assortment of beautiful cards and flower seeds from Mary at Hope Filled Living.
Mary has a kind heart and beautiful blog. I hope you will visit her. Thank you Mary.
The next gift was sent to me from Cindy at Retro Revival. Don't forget to visit Cindy and tell her I sent you. I love her blog and she makes the cutest aprons. Cindy sent me an adorable vintage sugar shaker tin. It will be perfect for sprinkling powdered sugar on my strawberry crepes. Thank you Cindy.
Hope you are smiling today.
Sending out love and hugs to you.
Welcome new friends. Thank you for following me.

Danielle
