Feeling Groovy

I love rummage sales.  There are bits and pieces from many people combined together.  The feeling of anticipating treasure to be found is so exciting.  I found this embroidery book in a heap of vintage crafty goodness at this rummage sale.  The year the book was published was 1975 but I think the embroidery is beautiful and timeless.  Heck I think you know me well enough by now that I love flowers and especially colorful vintage ones.  Just take a look at my blog header.

I thought maybe you may be inspired by this beautiful embroidery too.

I'll leave you with this last picture.

Real men CAN wear flowers.

Feeling groovy?

Danielle, i love rummage sales, too. The embroidered flowery shirts take me back to the mid 70's when everyone was wearing denim shirts with embroidered symbols and flowers on them. I know, I'm old. :-)

Oh and I can remember when that was all the rage- People did a lot of it on wrap-around skirts, too. xo Diana

Oh, I remember those groovy days! I loved embroidery, and always wanted to create designs on denim with it.

Hi, I saw your comment when I was visiting Janzi so I hopped across to visit you. Lovely name for a blog and I love your header. The pictures remind me of some embroidery that I had done on the collars of some shirts when I was in India. A few years ago. Good to get to know you. Joan

Wonderful Danielle....my mom used to embroider....I never learned and I could kick myself for not doing it. I'll bet you will come across something that is right up your alley.
