My Creative Space

Welcome to my studio.  A place where I can create and dream.  A place where I keep my most favorite things.

I love to store items in glass jars.  It makes it easier for me to find the things I am looking for if I can see them.

Vintage satin glove boxes hold laces and trims, bits and bobs, this and that. Sewing machine drawers hold bias tape, rick rack and more trims.

Vintage locker baskets are used to store lots of my crafting supplies that are not so pretty to look at but I still want easy access to.

An old folding cart is filled with my vintage doilies.

A vintage dolls pink baby buggy holds
some of my crochet thread.

I love old wallpaper covered boxes. They are so useful to store more supplies.

Old lace is so pretty to look at.  Why not have it out on display where you can see it?

I designed my table. It is made from a vintage door.  Three of the panels were cut out and my husband made a drawer underneath to store some of my favorite things.  It is topped with a piece of glass.

Here are close ups of some of the things in the shadow box table.

My vintage Corona folding typewriter was a favorite find from a thrift store.

Some of the things I have in my studio are simply there because I find them pretty, or they make me smile.

A little pixie dust goes a long way.
Tinkerbell makes me smile every time I see her amongst the crystals of the chandelier.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I am so happy you visited.
I love making new friends.  If you aren't a follower already, I would love it if you would like to follow along.

xo,
Danielle

Oh.My.Gosh. Danielle, you and I have been blog friends for a while but I didn't realize how much we have in common until I saw this post. Your room is much prettier than mine but we like all of the same things, right down to the jewelry boxes. I want to go home and do my whole room over right now! I will be returning to this post for inspiration again and again. Thank you so much for sharing!!

How wonderful that you have a "place" for your work.Mine is in the corner of our room as I could have had the spare room but I have a hubby that likes it when I am "around" so he is prepared to have my little corner which I love but yours is absolute heaven. The thing I like most is that it has special things around, the door is wonderful, one of my younger friends hubby did a similar thing for their very large coffee table and another is about to do one for her kitchen I shall show her your blog next week she is going to have ahead buzz as her studio is vey similar to yours.

Danielle, your table is such an amazing idea with the drawer underneath. What a great way to display and yet store all those lovely and amazing treasures from the past. Your collection could hold my attention for hours. It's like an intriguing museum almost. I'm now following. Hope you'll stop over and visit and follow me at Quirky Vistas as well.
