Trash or Treasure?

So if you saw this on the curb would you of taken it home?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I spied this beauty on my walk around the neighborhood last evening. It is huge and hand painted with these beautiful flowers.  One person's trash has become my treasure.

How could I possibly leave this on the curb?
Obviously I didn't and I think it makes a great fireplace screen for the summer months when we aren't using the fireplace.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a lovely week.

xo,
Danielle

Hey Daniele. I would had definitely picked it up myself. Maybe not kept it or maybe I would but definitely not leave it. What was the previous owner thinking when they decided to throw it away. Oh, well like you said someones trash is now your treasure. Enjoy it.

My Grandma used to have trays like that...I think she may have even painted them herself. Yours is a real find and I LOVE it as a screen for your fireplace.

I have a collection of black tole trays, and believe me none of them were free on the curb! I can't fathom that somebody threw that tray in the trash. It makes a perfect flowery firescreen!

Well, do you want to cry? Is yours a tray with fold out legs under it? Well, I had one that looked almost identical to this and SOMEONE who shall remain nameless but is about 5 ye years old and spends a bit of time here...well, she jumped on it to try and reach something and the tin folded in the center like a warm knife cutting through butter. UGH...

I would have picked it for sure! xo Diana
