We Just Brought Home Six Babies

We just brought home six babies.
Did that get your attention?
Six baby chickens.

Awww... Aren't they cute?

Hopefully, once grown they will provide us with lots of fresh eggs.

They go right to sleep in your hands.

They will be living in the "nursery" (a plastic swimming pool) for a few weeks before they will go outside.  Do you keep chickens?  Any tips?

xo,
Danielle

Danielle- Is there anything sweeter to hold in your hand than a baby chick? I have not been around chickens since I left the farm many years ago. I always loved the chicken- xo Diana

Oooh Danielle... the babies are soo adorable, I just want to kiss them!... I don't have any tips for you, I have never raised chickens... I would probably give them the run of the house as much as I love all God's creatures!... xoxo Julie Marie

I think they are so cute. I know this will sound a little weird but I have a friend who has one that comes in watches TV. True, really, sits on the coffee table!

Oh Danielle,

They are just precious! I love the way they feel in your hands. Raising them so close to you, holding you and such, they won't make as big a fuss when you snatch their eggs!

They are so adorable. Cute idea, keeping them in the swimming pool. Make sure it stays warm, Mama!

Hugs to you and the chickies!

Oh Danielle,
The chicks are adorable. I've been wanting some chickens for a while now. We use to keep chickens when I was a little girl. I use to love feeding time. May be one day I can convince my hubby to build be a chicken coop and keep a few :-) Good luck with your chickies.

Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana

Oh, how sweet! I wouldn't know the first thing about raising chickens. Our elderly neighbors didn't like our dog who was mostly in the house, so I can just imagine what they would do if there were chickens looking at them through the fence. Do they like snow? :@

They are so sweet! I have thought about it, but figured we have enough going right now. Max and Hannah would think it was pretty cool to raise them though... t.xoxo

Congratulations! You are now a "chicken mama"!! I have 5 full grown "girls", and I love them. I raised them from chicks too. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer. I learned alot in the past year since I have them - and we just recently survived a possum attack on one of my girls, Lily! Best of luck! You will love the eggs. XO Helena

How exciting! So many people are raising chickens nowadays....I wish I could, but I think zoning laws would prevent it. I'll be looking forward to future posts with updates about your hens....
