Key to My Heart

Those that know me know that I have a romantic and sentimental heart.

So when I came across this little red leather bound book at an estate sale I had to have it.  The book was published in 1884.  It's in poor condition, but I didn't mind.

I love the old handwriting inside the cover.  It looks like Eloise gifted this book to W.L. Prinney the day after Christmas 1888.  Were they sweethearts?  I would like to imagine they were.  Maybe they even read this book aloud to each other, reflecting on the words of the poem they were reading.

I was delighted to find the velvet heart brooch at the thrift store this year.

I say that was a good $1.99 for the heart and the book well spent.

xo,
Danielle

I love finding sentimental things like this. Like you, I would be wondering if Eloise & W.L. Prinney were sweethearts. Such a sweet find.
