Serendipity (ser'en-dip'-e-ti) :Is the effect by which one accidentally stumbles upon something fortunate, especially while looking for something entirely unrelated.

Sunny with a Chance of Snow

I have been very fortunate to have enjoyed wonderful weather the last couple of weeks.  The sun is shining today
but it's snowing indoors.  Welcome to my dining room.  I have decided to dress the tree in silver and snowflakes.

I made these snowflakes with a snowflake cut with my Sizzix and embellished with glitter and trim.

I hung these from the chandelier for a little more sparkle.

Hope you are enjoying the day.

I'm sharing this with

Brown Paper Packages Tied Up with String

These are a few of my favorite things
sent with love from blogging friends.

Thank you Jennifer
Be sure and check out her etsy.
She has lots of beautiful things.

She included so many treasures.
I love the towels with the birds.
They look a little Anthropolie-ish I think.

Thank you Sharon
I love to create and decorate and
these are perfect for me.  She even
included a card making kit.
I hope you check out her charming blog.
She loves vintage and making things.

Thank you Michelle from Primp who hosted a giveaway and Christine who created
this gorgeous butterfly pendant. She has
an etsy filled with wonderful handmade
jewelry pieces.

Thank you Ladies.  I absolutely love everything.  I hope you will visit these ladies (just click on their names for the link).

On another note, I have recently decided to shorten my blog name from
My Blessed Serendipity Life
to just
Blessed Serendipity.
Same blog address, just a new name.

A little more simple and to the point I think.
I believe we all have some blessed serendipity in our lives. Sometimes things don't work out the way we plan, but I believe it is for a reason.  Sometimes things turn out much better than we would of ever dreamed
and that would be serendipity.

Have a blessed day friends!

In Bloom

You see
There are things that bloom
even in the winter.

I am in the decorating mode.
I am making my home bloom.
How about you?

Wishing you a most happy Thanksgiving.  A time for us to reflect upon all the many blessings we have been given.
I am truly grateful for many blessings
that have been given to me.

Give thanks with a grateful heart.

Grateful for the life you give us,
thankful for your Holy Son,
joyful in your Spirit flowing
over all, O God of Love.

Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?

Who is that peeking around the corner?

Well I believe that is Tom.

You can run and you can hide, but come
Thanksgiving next week
(I know, I can't believe it either)
you will be the star
on our Thanksgiving table.

Except we'll be the ones who's doing the
gobble gobble gobble.

Just sayin...

Look who else visited here today.

Not the best photo, but I wanted to introduce you to the newest members of this Javelina's family.

Aren't the twins adorable?

 Ok off you go Javelinas.
 Please leave my plants alone.

Eleven Eleven Eleven

What do you do with
vintage alarm clocks
that no longer run?

You set them to your favorite time.
Today that time happens to be 11:11

Right time twice a day
and no more winding.

I am thankful to veterans today.
Happy Veterans Day.

A Plethora of Pillows

Picked up these vintage sweeties.
Don't they give a feeling of
cottage and cozy?

Hand stitched with love.
This one seems to say home sweet home.

Just thought I would snap a picture
of these cuties before
they head off to my booth.

Hope you are enjoying a BLESSED day!

Tiny Dancer

I still have to do a bit more soldering, but wanted to show you the soldered necklace I made in my class that was given
 by Sally Jean Alexander.

A bit of this and that.

The main element of the necklace was this little ballerina encased in glass.  What makes her special is you can make her turn by turning the pearl on the bottom of the necklace.

She dances away in her little tiny world on top of crystals and sparkly things of course.

What more could a tiny dancer ask for?

If you are visiting here for the first time, welcome.  I would hope that would sign up to follow me.  I just love to meet new friends.
