A little peek at a corner of my home.
What is it that defines home to you?
Could it be fresh flowers?
Maybe photos of the ones we love?
A family heirloom?
Or does home simply mean shelter?
Could it mean comfort?
Possibly the scent of a fresh pie
baking in the oven?
Does home mean more about the people who live and visit there?
Or is home really a definition of a feeling we get when we are there?
For me home means a little of all of these things, but mostly the feeling of home lives in
my heart.
It overflows sometimes and is shared
with the ones I love.

The little ruffled shade I scored at a recent estate sale for a song. I almost put it back but I am glad I got it. I think it's the perfect touch for my vintage lamp.

What a pretty blog post. Home to me is where I am most comfortable. I am a stay at home wife, since the kids are away at college. I love to be home and decorate, change things around and then be able to sit down and relax to admire them.

Home to me is where my favorite things are, where I lovingly interior design to my taste and style and last but not least, where my dear hubby is, and when my 81 yr.old mother, the girls and families come over. Sweet Danielle. I AGREE! HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS and my heart has been home all summer long. Being a teacher, I have the chance to have a long break and this year, we decided to not travel, but to savor the new rooms we built, sit in the garden and watercolour, read, write, dream and have soirées.
