What's black and white and "red" all over?
How about a dictionary wreath?
I have been seeing versions of this
all over blogland.
Would you like to know how I made mine?
Ok, I will show you.
You will need an old book (preferably with yellowed or darkened pages) and one that you don't mind recycling. You also need a foam wreath form (I got mine at the dollar store) and a large flower punch.
Punch out lots and lots of flower shapes. You will need a bunch.
Using a crochet hook or whatever other similar tool you may have handy,
"Scrunch" a bunch of the flower cutouts.
Start gluing these scrunched flowers to the wreath very close together. I found that a glue gun was the most effective way to glue these.
I used the crochet hook to help push the flowers down into the hot glue.
Keep on gluing until the wreath is covered.
The wreath has an antique quality, almost reminds me of dried hydrangeas.
Easy Peasy.
