The Knots Prayer

Do you see what I see? I think that the Holy Spirit has placed a dove in the sky for me to discover. It's funny how life takes twists and turns and never is quite as expected, but that is ok. Sometimes we pray to God for something and sometimes the answer is simply no. Where does this all fit into the "grand plan"? Only He knows.

A friend emailed me the following prayer and I just had to share. It's called "The Knots Prayer".

The Knots Prayer

Dear God,
Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart and my life.
Remove the have nots, the can nots and the do nots that I have in my mind.

Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots, would nots and should nots that obstruct my life.

And most of all, Dear God, I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart and my life all of the "am nots" that I have allowed to hold me back, especially the thought that I am not good enough.

Amen

Go fly a kite

We were here today...

A beautiful day to enjoy the kites.

These kites are huge and yet they look so graceful blowing in the breeze.

Oodoodles and oodoodles of Octopi.

It definitely was a great afternoon...

for flying kites.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Hearts that Rock

Hearts that rock...Or rocks that are hearts. I found a few more to add to the collection.

Hearts of all sizes. A symbol for love. To love and to be loved.

Some really tiny baby hearts.

But I found one that is by far my favorite. It is an agate. A heart shaped agate. My heart really did skip a beat when I found this beauty.

It is quite translucent but hard to see in this photo. Definitely a rare find.

Good Times at the LAM

My friend, Mary Ann in some super red high heels. Where are we you ask?

Why we are at the Spring sale at the LAM.

The best antique mall on the Oregon coast.....The Little Antique Mall (although it is not so little).

Last night we kicked off our "Spring Sale".

There was plenty of good things to eat and drink.

It was a busy evening. Lots of treasures were being found and purchased.

I love working here!

For love of flowers

I took a walk today. Want to come along?

An absolutely gorgeous day!

"In friendships fragrant garden, There are flowers of every hue...

...Each with its own fair beauty,

And is its gift of joy for you." -Friendship's Garden

Lovely, delicate, beautiful flowers.

Trees so tall, they make me feel so small.

I hear the sound of running water, so peaceful.

What a lovely day!

Have Hankie Will Travel

Got to love vintage hankies. Hankies that have literally "been around"....(the USA of course). A little memento of a place visited. I have collected these state hankies for awhile now. Everytime I find one I wonder about the woman who once owned it. Did she go to Texas to visit her favorite Aunt Emma Jean? Or was someone she knew visiting Indiana and thought it would be nice to bring back a little something.

When I was a little girl, my grandma made sure I had a clean hankie to put in my purse when were going to church. Do people even use hankies anymore?

Makes me want to travel more and go to places that I have never been to before.

But for now I'll just daydream about it.

Danielle

164 Steps

Today we were here. . .

This is the Astoria Column built in 1926. It was really quite beautiful with etched scenes all the way around depicting Oregon history. I don't know how tall this structure is but I can tell you that it is 164 steps up to the top.

Once at the top, you get the most incredible views. Between the views and the many steps up to the top, it literally takes your breath away.

Then we headed to see this shipwreck.

It is sort of spooky seeing the remains of this boat right at the edge of the beach.

I saw this structure on the beach and just thought it was interesting. Someone worked hard on this.

Spotted this owl after leaving the shipwreck.

Wild foxgloves.
What have you been up to lately?

Blessings,
Danielle
